The Debate Continues: Evolution vs. Creation.

This year NOVA is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the world’s most famous atheist: Charles Darwin. It is also the 150th anniversary of the publication of his book, “The Origin of Species;” a misnomer is ever there was one. The book doesn’t deal at all with the origin of species, but, rather, addresses the “variations” Darwin noticed in his observations. He never once explains the origin of any specie.

The theory—it IS a THEORY, not a proven FACT—remains popular to this day, as the foundation of much “science, falsely so called.” (First Timothy 6:20) Paul called it “science,” but what did he mean when he used that word? Paul understood the word to mean the gathering of FACTS, carefully considered to arrive at truth. The simple definition of science is: “a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws…” (www.dictonary.com). Paul warned of a science, that was not truly science.

Sadly, our children in government schools are bombarded with this theory as if it were a proven fact. In other words, they are presented with science that is not truly factual knowledge, the end result: false conclusions (i.e., science, falsely so called).

Kirk Cameron, former teen star of the popular sitcom Growing Pains, is a born again Christian. He, along with Ray Comfort, is a promoter and staunch defender of the biblical view of creation. They have put together some interesting and helpful materials on the subject, in conjunction with Darwin’s anniversary celebrations. You can visit their Web site at: http://www.kirkcameron.com/ or view a recent video at: http://www.facebook.com/david.cosma

The great attack today is against the first eleven chapters of your Holy Bible. There are three main areas that evolutionists despise from these eleven chapters in Genesis: 1) creation, 2) the flood, 3) the Jews as God’s chosen people. You should notice that the attacks run consistently in our children’s’ government school textbooks, in the news around us, and in Hollywood movies. They know if they can discount these three vital truths detailed in your Bible, especially within the minds of our children, they believe they will be well on their way to ridding the world of Christian thought and influence.

I do hope you will take the time to educate yourself on the subject of creationism vs. evolution, by visiting the sites provided above. And do read carefully the first eleven chapters of the Bible.

The minds of our children depend on us.
